Dear HPNC community,
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate the complicated logistics of operating during construction. Our Leadership Team came together yesterday to improve families' and partners' experience throughout this project - please keep reading for the full details.
PORTABLE RESTROOM AREA – Our team is working to improve the portable restroom area. We have added an outdoor garbage can and an outdoor handwashing station. We are looking into a weather-protective canopy, regular cleaning schedule throughout the day, and other improvements.
SIGNAGE – Our team is working to create clear signage overall and maps to be placed at each entry point of the building with a "YOU ARE HERE” star that identifies which entrance points should be used for each program and purpose.
OPERATIONAL COMMUNICATION – Our team is ironing out implementation of walkie-talkies for our program and admin staff, as well as installing door buzzers for each point of entry. We have also developed a plan to ensure that phones are answered absent the front desk.
DISMISSAL – We are working to clarify dismissal procedures and will train our program team to ensure everyone understands the process.
SECURITY – Because our building doors must remain locked to ensure children's safety, visitors and clients need to be admitted into program spaces by staff. Please knock, use a door buzzer, or call the HPNC main number if you have any trouble accessing the building - we are here to help.
We will keep you posted with updates on these and other items as they arise. Please don’t hesitate to share your thoughts at info@hpnclub.org as our goal is to continually improve for the sake of everyone.
Thank you once again for your patience, and for staying tuned to the latest at HPNC. To learn more about our Building Revitalization Project plans, please visit hpnclub.org/cultivate-the-future/building-revitalization-project
