Summer Camp
HPNC welcomes families that receive a childcare subsidy through Illinois Action for Children. ​Additional financial assistance is available for qualifying families. Find out more and submit your eligibility information on our Sliding Scale Pricing page.
Sliding Scale: Available for families earning up to 500% of the Federal Income Guideline - for example, this includes a family of 2 with an annual income of up to $108,000 or a family of 4 with an annual income of up to $165,000. We encourage all families to apply!
An annual Access Pass is required for all program participants and their families for registration into HPNC and on-site partner programs.
Camp Discovery
Rising 1st - 5th Grade

Get ready for an unforgettable summer adventure at HPNC’s Camp Discovery program! Designed for rising 1st-5th graders, this extraordinary camp is packed with thrilling experiences and boundless fun. Each week, your child will dive into exploration-based learning, take part in adventurous field trips, and enjoy hands-on activities that ignite curiosity and creativity. Campers will make a splash with weekly swim instruction, unleash their inner artist in dynamic arts & crafts sessions, and build confidence through exciting sports instruction. They’ll also discover the importance of wellness and nutrition, while fostering friendships and teamwork with interactive team-building activities.

Outdoor Explorers Camp

Designed for rising 5th-8th graders who thrive in the great outdoors, this camp offers an exhilarating opportunity to discover, connect with, and fall in love with nature. Completely set in the natural world, Outdoor Explorers Camp immerses campers in thrilling hikes, exciting weekly exploration trips to local parks and natural areas, and hands-on activities that build confidence and essential outdoor skills. From navigating trails and identifying wildlife to developing teamwork and a deep respect for the environment, every day is an unforgettable journey of growth and discovery. Whether scaling new heights, learning about ecosystems, or simply marveling at the beauty of nature, campers will create memories that last a lifetime. Teen Advisory Board (TAB)
Rising 9th-12th graders

HPNC is calling all high school leaders, creators, and change-makers! HPNC is starting a Teen Advisory Board where youth step into real leadership, shape programs, and bring their ideas to life. Members don’t just share opinions — they plan events, lead projects, and influence decisions that impact their peers and the HPNC community. Interested in being heard, leading with purpose, and making real change? Join the Teen Advisory Board and take your seat at the table!

The Teen Advisory Board (TAB) will begin meeting this summer (June 15th to August 14th)! Meetings will be twice per week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 11a-1p. One day per week will be dedicated to meaningful service work, while the other will be a meeting of the TAB community to connect, build relationships, and plan initiatives.
We are also excited to share that, thanks to a generous donation, participating students are eligible to receive a quarterly stipend for their work with TAB as well!
